What I Love About Fall in Omaha

There is something about fall in Omaha that makes me want to slow down a little.
The mornings get cooler, the leaves start changing and suddenly everyone seems to be pulling out their sweaters and thinking about all the things they want to do before winter arrives.
Fall is one of my favorite times to be out showing homes because you get to see neighborhoods in a completely different way.
You see families outside, leaves in the yards, people walking their dogs and kids playing after school. You get a little glimpse of what everyday life might look like in a neighborhood.
And that is something I always want my clients to think about.
When you are looking at a home, it is easy to focus on the house itself. The kitchen. The bedrooms. The garage. The backyard.
But I also want you to look outside.
What is the neighborhood like?
Are there sidewalks? Parks? Restaurants? Places you would actually visit? Is it somewhere you can picture yourself spending a Saturday morning?
Those things matter.
One of my favorite things about Omaha is that you can find so many different kinds of neighborhoods. Some feel established and quiet, while others are growing and changing. Each one has its own personality.
Fall is also a great time to simply get out and explore.
Take a drive. Grab a coffee. Visit a local restaurant. Walk through a neighborhood you have never really considered.
You never know when you might discover a place that feels like home.
And if you happen to see me out showing houses, be sure to say hello.
I am always happy to talk real estate, but I am just as happy to talk about what makes Omaha such a wonderful place to live.
